Born of an ancient civilization, Cairo is a vast metropolis centered around the Nile. Its sheer scale can feel overwhelming (especially when flying over Cairo Airport), so plan ahead. An obvious starting point are the Giza Pyramids. Although the pharaohs are long gone, the grandeur of their burial pyramids, the Sphinx and Solar Boat are testament to their ambition.
The city’s Egyptian Museum houses a dazzling display of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including finds from Tutankhamen's tomb in Luxor. Around the corner is Tahrir, a huge square and focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.
East is Islamic Cairo, home to the 9th-century Ibn Tulun Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque (site of the world’s oldest university), and the Khan el-Khalili souk (remember to haggle). The Citadel, with its elegant Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque, sits on a hill offering far-reaching city views.
If you need a break from cultural tours, take a Nile cruise by felucca, spot wildlife in Wadi Digla desert park or visit Egypt’s top theme parks: Dream Park and Magic Land, where you can tour Egyptian TV studios.
Before heading to your Cairo accommodations, sample the local cuisine – the falafel and fuul (bean paste) are delicious. Coffee is a staple and there are hundreds of shisha bars, while major Cairo hotels have bars serving alcohol.
A must visit cultural heritage. A lot of history associated.
A must visit cultural heritage. A lot of history associated. People are nice at heart. Pyramids of Giza and the Spinx are the highlights. A number of beautiful mosques, amazing and magnificent museums. Should also visit the markets and the beautiful Nile River. Cairo has so much to offer.

To see the best of Giza and Cairo we would definitely recommend a local guide and driver. They can navigate the busy road system there, and will know all of the best places to visit and eat. The only thing we would avoid next time is exchanging our money to Egyptian pounds... it is better to either use dollars or euros.

Cairo is a must see place, This hotel layout is nice with cottages, but rooms look old and bathrooms need a complete makeover, worn out look, tap in the tub had a leak. House keeping was not up to the mark as they forgot to place coffee and tea sachets. On requesting, it took 2 hours to reach the room. No mini refrigerator in the room. Needs more power plugs for charging devices. Something needs to be done for the mosquitos there after sunset. I stayed in Jaz group hotel in Cairo and Sharm. Both places need to revise their menu to add more international/asian stuff.

Cairo is notoriously chaotic, and has the traffic and noise issues to prove it. But still a splendid place to explore Egyptian history and culture, with iconic landmarks like the Pyramids of Giza and the Nile River. The Egyptian Museum is a must-visit destination when in Cairo, but needs more care and structure update, most of its archaeological treasures are just there displayed without proper care, it was a bit disappointed. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is a new museum, covering all the different historical periods that encompass Egypt's history and is where the royal mummies are located now. Khan El Khalili Bazaar has a vibrant energy and is an important district for both cultural and economic activity, but be prepared to be harassed by the vendors who may follow you trying to convince to buy in his shop. You can’t go to Cairo and not see the Pyramids of Giza, it's a very popular destination and always busy. You can do it by yourself or hiring a guide. I walked around by myself and it was great since we did in our time and speed, also be prepare to be approached many times for camel or horse rides. Often referred to as the cradle of civilization, Cairo is a trip worth taking once.

The accommodation was perfect.
The accommodation was perfect. The room was very nice, clean, and well-ventilated. I will recommend this property to anyone who would like to visit Cairo. I plan to visit Cairo with my family. I will make the booking for this accommodation.
This is a good value, centrally located hotel in Cairo. It's old and some parts are undergoing renovation, but the rooms and breakfast area are in great shape and everything works. It's quiet at night and the wifi was fine. The staff are helpful and friendly, and arranged an airport transfer for us. Breakfast was good and alternated between European style and Egyptian style. It's about 10 minutes walk to several different Metro stations. Lots of restaurants and several ATMs nearby.
Our point of contact from the hotel was Mohamed for everything, even before we came to Egypt. He was really kind in organizing transportation and tours throughout Cairo.
The breakfast was amazing, with the best view of the pyramids, and the rest of the staff always welcomed us with a smile. The rooms are pretty cool, with air conditioning and good bathrooms, and the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing with a view of the pyramids.
this hotel is ran by the most respectful and helpful staff I've ever encountered; Mo, Sayed and others went above and bevond to make us feel comfortable. The rooftop taurant is a hotspot for view of the pyramids. they serve delicious fresh juices (recommend fresh guava juice!) and the best grilled chicken Mohamed used to offer the most beautiful tours of trips inside Egypt. Upon arrival, you could ask about the trips 🐪🐪
The view of the pyramids from the terrace and the room is beyond expectations. Staff was very helpful and devoted to make our stay pleasant. Having a nargile on the terrace of Egypt Pyramids Inn at sunset looking at the pyramids should be a must in your trip to Egypt. Don't expect a 5 stars or boutique hotel, but room and facilities are clean, beds are very confortable and windows well isolated. 100% recomendable.
Honestly, the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Egypt. It's a beautiful, peaceful, and wonderful hotel. Its location is close to the airport and essential facilities. The room was very nice and beautiful. The staff's service was pleasant and classy, especially Dalia. I would like to express my gratitude to her. Thanks to her, if I ever come to Egypt again, I will definitely stay at the Baron Hotel.
I traveled alone from England booked the hotel though booking.com messages the hotel they arranged for my pick up which hung around for me as Cairo airport is crazy. Atta the manager couldn’t do enough to make my stay the best he organised my trip to the pyramids by horse and carriage he let me have my room longer to freshen up before I move on. Would highly recommend him and his staff 5 star from me.
I loved the place because it is a place that gives you a lot of energy when you go to the roof in front of the pyramids and a place that gives you positive energy and I advise all people to go to it. If you want to enjoy your trip in Egypt, go there and ask the hotel for trips to the pyramids and ask for a car to receive you from the airport.
Best place in Giza !!! I recommend at 100% this hotel. Good price for an amazing view, very confortable room, the owners are extremely kind and the food is really tasty
First time in Egypt that I found a very clean hotel for a cheap price.
3mn walk to the entrance of Pyramids thanks for evreything
Amazing room, amazing location, amazing staff
Osama was very good and very friendly.. we stayed for like 2 nights but .. we had a best hotel in town.. i will recommend everyone to try out this property..
Hotel manager was very helpful , he came to receive us on airport.. which we really liked...
one of the best hotels you can stay in. staff are friendly and very helpful and wil go out of their way to please you.
“The host is a fantastic and helpful man, he made everything to provide the best hospitality. I got a generous and delicious Egyptian breakfast before leaving to the airport.
Great location all shops and resturants are around immeditlay outside the hotel. The cheap and trust transportation from / to the airport. Mr. Josef (one of the staff) is very good and helpful and can answer any question you ask for your stay. The toilets were always clean and available .
The hotel has a best location for the amazing Pyramids view. The hotel organized a two-day tour and airport transport service, so made our Cairo trip very relax and enjoyable. The hotel staff are very friendly and the room was very clean. Special thanks to Mo, Hani. Strongly recommend!
Super-super friendly staff, available 24/h
Great location, right in front of the Egyptian Museum
Really clean and big room
Good price (we learned that in Cairo it's worth spending a little more rather than going for a cheaper hotel for 15$ a night, we don't recommend it at all)
Couple things were good: 1) The view from the terrace is great! Really beautiful, straight on the pyramids2) Staff is nice, 3) good restaurants close to the hotel. 4) Room was okay, comfortable for this price. I liked Egyptian breakfast, attached the photo.
clean nice rooms. hot water. AC. staff are very friendly and helpful. location is good. close to airport and close to many restaurants and shops. hotel has security. 2 elevators. nice Indian restaurant and good roof top that service Egyptian food.
Great modern hotel in on old building nearby the Egyptian Museum, bus station and many restaurants. Work in progress but when they finish in few days, it will be one of best accommodation in Cairo. The Staff is fantastic!
The view!!! Friendly staff, especially Shad ❤️ Very clean. Tasty food! They have arranged for us airport transfer too. Many thanks! I guess if you are looking for the hotel with the best Pyramids view-this is the one!
